Preparation Directions

HEAT oven to 425°F. Spray 12 muffin cups with no-stick cooking spray. Combine flour, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in large bowl; mix well.

COMBINE applesauce, milk, oil and egg in small bowl; blend well. Add to flour mixture; stir just until dry ingredients are moistened (batter will be slightly lumpy). Fill prepared muffin cups 2/3 full.

BAKE 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.

Martha's Tip
Remember the secret to tender homemade muffins is to stir the batter just until the dry ingredients are moistened. The batter should be lumpy.
