Fried Okra


Ingredients

1pound fresh okra, trimmed
3/4cup Martha White® Self-Rising Enriched White Corn Meal Mix
Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil, for frying

 

Preparation Directions

1.CUT okra crosswise into 1/2-inch slices. Combine okra and corn meal mix in resealable food storage bag; shake to coat evenly.
2.HEAT 1/4-inch oil in large skillet over medium heat to 350°F. Fry okra in hot oil until crisp and golden brown, stirring occasionally. Drain on paper towels.
