4 large eggs
1 cup sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup whole pecans
Prepare recipe for single crust pie.
Heat oven to 350°F. Prepare recipe for single crust pie. Roll out and place in 9-inch pie plate. Press to fit without stretching dough. Trim even with pie plate. Flute edges.
Beat eggs in medium bowl. Beat in sugar, corn syrup, butter and vanilla until blended. Stir in pecans. Pour into unbaked pie crust.
Bake 45 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted 1 inch from center comes out clean. Cover edge of pie with foil, if necessary, to prevent over browning. Place pie on wire rack to cool completely.
