1/2 cup softened butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups Martha White All-Purpose Flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 (6-ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Heat oven to 375ºF. Spray a large baking sheet with no-stick spray.
Beat butter and sugars together in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla and beat well.
Whisk together flour, salt, and soda. Blend into the creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate morsels and pecans. Drop by level tablespoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on the pan for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
